Urgent Care Physician — EM · Acute Medicine · ICM
About the role
Health New Zealand is recruiting Urgent Care Physicians from an emergency medicine, acute medicine or intensive care background. This is a permanent Senior Medical Officer post, not a fixed term, full time, with the Green List residence pathway. MCNZ assesses your training and experience directly, and registration and relocation are guided end to end. SMOs sit on Tier 1 of New Zealand's Green List: with a job offer, a letter of eligibility from MCNZ is enough to start your residence application before you are even registered — partner and children included. Remuneration is on the ASMS collective SMO scale, with a CME allowance of NZ$18,000 a year plus 10 study days. Applications are handled in strict confidence by Ava Medical; the employing organisation is shared with shortlisted candidates only.
