Specialty Doctor — Obstetrics & Gynaecology
About the role
An NHS board in Scotland is recruiting a Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology on a two-year fixed-term contract (full time, 40 hours per week) with a resident 1:7 on-call rota. You'll join a supportive department of consultants, specialty doctors and specialty trainees, with exposure across obstetrics and gynaecology including fertility, gynae-oncology, menopause, colposcopy, maternal medicine and urogynaecology, and scope to develop specialist interests and contribute to service development. Person specification
Essential
- Full GMC registration
- Minimum ST3+ (or equivalent) experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- MRCOG Part 1 (or equivalent) essential; Part 2 preferred
- Evidence of English-language competence (IELTS/OET) where required
Desirable
- A developing specialist interest (e.g. colposcopy, maternal medicine, urogynaecology)
- Experience in a comparable health system
- Teaching, audit or research involvement
